Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a means to be able to connect with someone's sub-conscious mind in order to enable resolution of issues discussed with the clinician.

Our sub-conscious is where all our behavioural "traits" are stored along with all learned experiences &mi; both positive and negative. Our unhelpful traits could hold us back from what we truly want to achieve in life.

Hypnotherapy can be used to treat a number of conditions from fears & phobias to a number of anxiety disorders, but also can be used for pain relief and to boost someone's resolve to give up smoking, lose weight and/or confidence in all or specific walks of their lives.

Clinical Hypnotherapy is very different from the Stage Hypnotherapy we see on the television &mi; and should never be confused!!

The process follows a relaxation period followed by the "message" that wants to be given for the sub-conscious mind to remember and make use of going forward to aid in the resolution of what has brought you into the therapy session.

It is important to note that whilst under Hypnosis, you will never be made to do something that your conscious self would never ordinarily do as, even when you in a Hypnotic state, you remain in control at all times.

The definition of therapy is talking. Sometimes in our everyday lives, issues present themselves that in our ordinary guise, we find difficult to deal with. The phrase "couldn't see the wood for the trees" is often described by clients and that's where therapy comes into play.

During therapy sessions, we will discuss the relevant issues affecting clients and we can help you dissect the issues, breaking them down in to "bite-size" chunks in order for them to be dealt with on a more manageable scale. We can also help clients understand why they act and react to situations the way they do. This will aid in the rectification of issues with positive change and furnish them with techniques to help with positive decision making for their future life.

All this is done on a collaborative basis to aid in the positive resolution of issues or unhelpful behaviour.

We all come to a point, or cross-roads, in our lives where we feel we need to make decisions. However, sometimes this can force us to admit that we could be a bit "stuck" in a rut.

We may want to change our lives, but we're not sure what we want to change or how to do it! Coaching & Mentoring can help with this as you will be encouraged to explore and discover what your true wants and ambitions are and how to achieve this.

Techniques are used to improve self-confidence/self-esteem and support you to make the changes required to attain a more positive life or lifestyle. These techniques also give you the means to ensure the positive change is continued and translates to other aspects of your life through a positive mind-set &mi; delivering positive behaviour for you and your life.

Counselling

Sometimes we all need an independent ear to listen to us "download". Often we have friends and family we can do this with, but sometimes we need a professional ear.

The main function for any form of counselling is to actively listen to the client and help them sort through the information provided, in order to exact a resolution to the issues presented. This is always done within a collaborative working environment and you will never be told what to do.

Treatment sessions are invariably 1 hour long, but frequency and number of sessions required will be dependent on the severity of issues presented. All treatment expectations will be discussed between the client and myself so there is full disclosure and understanding.
